Whoohoo! Memorial Day weekend. We have a parade planned - a fashion parade that is. We already have our outfits in mind for our visitors this weekend: Mr. Chris, Grandma and Grandpa. We're starting this weekend with the new outfits that we got from Nana and Grandad. We're getting so big and love to play dress up! Ok, mom loves to play dress up; we're just here for the food.

Multiple Meltdown

We went to the furniture store today right after Cameron & Audrey's lunch. Apparently this was not entertaining for the kiddos and they quickly became dissatisfied with their outing. My mommy spidey senses began to tingle and I knew it was time to go. However, we did not escape a complete cry-fest in the car. Audrey couldn't get to her hand to resort to cannibalism and Cameron kept trying to crunch his way out of his car seat. By the time we were reaching crescendo, I was climbing into the back seat at the stoplight, and Christian was covering his face with both hands. Finally everyone fell asleep - it was over almost as soon as it started. These pictures were literally taken just moments after they succumbed to the sandman.

Two Glee or Not Two Glee

These are photos from last night; as you can see Cameron and Audrey are all smiles. They LOVE their mommy and daddy, nursery rhymes and going for stroller walks - ain't life grand? Little did they know that the very next day (today) they had their 4 month "well" visit. Cameron and Audrey may feel there is nothing "well" about it given they received three intramuscular shots for immunizations. I knew we were in for it when Cameron started crying on the scale... and no - the "Joe Cool" Snoopy bandaids did not make it all better, just for the record.

The GREAT news is that both Cameron & Audrey have shot directly upwards on the growth charts. In other words, they started out much smaller because they were preemies, but now they are right in the same percentile path as their peers when it comes to weight, size of their noggin etc. Developmentally too - we're holding our heads, reaching for things, rolling to the side, laughing, cooing, etc. Currently we aren't having to "correct" for anything. The doctor saw them both and became wide-eyed and said "Wow! Look at these chunky little monkeys."

Cameron - 13 pounds 14 oz and 24 inches long
Audrey - 11 pounds 7 oz and 23.5 inches long

Just getting started...

I'm new at this blog thing. Given the way kids advance these days I'm sure Cameron and Audrey will be editing their own blog before they are in pre-school. I think blogging comes somewhere between total head control and rolling over... although they were preemies at 33 weeks so maybe not until they can sit up on their own. You know, to correct for their gestational age.
